100th Day Fun!

One of my FAVORITE 100th day activities is to read One Hundred Hungry Ants. I give each table some Fruit Loops. As we read, we STOP and group the Fruit Loops like the ants in the story. We grouped our Fruit Loops into 100 groups of 1, 2 groups of 50, 4 groups of 25, 5 groups of 20 and 10 groups of 10. It is a fun and meaningful way to develop an understanding of "group." Of course, we ate the "ants" at the end.

We also created 100 day hats, sang lots of 100 day songs and wrote about how we would spend $100. A day full of fun learning. We're 100 days smarter!
